1 Peter

Just completed Karen Jobes’ commentary on 1 Peter. While commentaries are not always a good read and may function best as reference, since I am teaching through the book it seemed worth reading through one serious commentary to go with reference work. It’s a good one and I learned some interesting things. Both her suggestion for the original audience and occasion and some of her linguistic work (detailed in the excursus) are worth a look. Recommended if you have a little language background, especially.
