The End of Eternity

Just finished listening to the audio version of Isaac Asimov’s The End of Eternity (linked to a current version; must be a non-available library audio version). Having read an awful lot of Asimov, I was surprised both to find it and to see it had some highly rated blurbs (his best stand alone novel!). Though I didn’t particularly like the reader, the story is another one of those crazy time travel twisters with a few conspiracy/mystery elements and some philosophical questions about human nature. In choosing the safe path, do we lose the opportunity to do great things? I think the answer is yes. Worth a read.
