A Thanksgiving Read – Feast

An appropriate book for Thanksgiving – Feast: Why Humans Share Food by Martin Jones. The book seeks to explore why humans are food-sharing beings, something that is seemingly a unique thing among known life forms. Given that for Christians, a shared meal and hospitality (which has a significant food component) are critical elements of our self-understanding and praxis, this book seemed like an interesting topic to explore. I sit here with a full stomach (Turkey and all the trimmings) after a shared meal. I hope to find out more of why.
