Longitude (42)

Also started working through (again, in audio book format) Dave Sobel’s Longitude. Have had this my pile to read for a while but since I saw the tape… I love this kind of book, combining history with science and explaining how various things fit together (e.g., clocks and navigation). Other examples include books like Absolute Zero by Tom Schactman and even The Professor and the Madman by Simon Winchester (on the origin of the Oxford English Dictionary).
